The IAJGS Achievement Awards are given to individuals or organizations who have made or are making outstanding contributions to Jewish genealogy. The awards are announced at the annual IAJGS International Conference on Jewish Genealogy.

Outstanding Project / Resource / Program | Recognition of excellence in creation of a new or enhanced individual or series of project(s) / resource(s) / program(s) for the benefit of Jewish genealogical researchers. | Individual, partnership of individuals, or organization. May be members or non-members. |
Outstanding Publication | Recognition of excellence to a member organization, for a primarily original content publication or series, which has been made available to Jewish genealogists, which furthers their research. | Regular members of the IAJGS. |
IAJGS Member of the Year | Recognition of excellence in innovative programming, membership growth, Jewish genealogical research promotion, etc. Factors to be considered include 1) Innovative programming that can be replicated by other member organizations. 2) Virtual programming 3) Using social media 4) Partnering with other organizations 5) Public relations techniques. 6) Growth in membership. 7) Advances in technology. 8) Non-traditional programs. | Regular members of the IAJGS. |
Nolan Altman Volunteer of the Year | Recognition in appreciation of unselfish and dedicated commitment to a volunteer in pursuit of advancing Jewish genealogical research. | Individual or partnership of individuals who are from members organizations. |
Future Leader of the Year | Recognition of a promising future leader in JGS management or in the field of Jewish genealogical research. The individual should currently be in a training, mentoring or other program (formal or informal) exhibiting their commitment to local organizational leadership. | Member of an IAJGS regular member. |

IAJGS Lifetime Achievement Award
This award is presented to a living individual for outstanding contributions of major significance and benefit to Jewish genealogy.
Outstanding Contribution to Jewish Genealogy via the Internet, Print or Electronic Product
This award is presented to a person, persons or organization in recognition of a contribution via Internet (e.g. an Internet project), Print (e.g. a book, periodical or other publication), or Electronic Product (e.g. CD-ROM or software program).
Outstanding Programming or Project that Advances the Objectives of Jewish Genealogy
This award may be made to a person, persons or organization either in recognition of a single program or series of programs, or in recognition of a single project or series of projects.
Outstanding Publication by a Member Organization of IAJGS
This award may be made to a member organization, recognizing an outstanding publication or series, which has been made available to Jewish genealogists, which furthers their research. This publication may be distributed in any manner, hard copy, email, posted on a website, etc.
