The International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies (IAJGS) is a network of
90 societies worldwide providing family history education, resources, coaching and
comradery for all those researching Jewish heritage. The IAJGS provides a common
voice for issues of significance to its member organizations to advance Jewish
genealogy research and coordinate activities such as the annual International
Conference on Jewish Genealogy. IAJGS members include most local and national
Jewish genealogical societies (JGSs), as well as Topical and Associate member groups.

 

Local Host

The Jewish Genealogical and Archival Society of Greater Philadelphia (JGASGP) was
initially founded in 1979 as the Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Philadelphia by
a small group of individuals interested in researching their Jewish heritage. Since then,
it has grown to approximately 400 members in the greater Philadelphia area, and also
across the U.S., Canada and Israel.
