JGS was happy to have Samuel G. Freedman, the award-winning writer and professor of journalism at Columbia University and author of Who She Was: My Search for My Mother's Life, address the conference at the banquet on Thursday evening, August 17.

Dr. Allen  Weinstein, the Archivist of the United States addressed the 26th Annual conference on Sunday August 13, 2006.   He brought special greetings from US President George Bush.
