Nardo BONOMI BRAVERMAN
I am graduate at the "Cesare Alfieri" faculty in Firenze (Italy). For twenty years I researched on local history and published about history on specialized journal.
I researched for commissioners, mostly owners of houses and farms in the country side.
In local archives I can generally go back to the 15th century with documents from cadastre registers, tax declarations, maps.
For some commissioners I found and translated documents dating back to the year 1000.
In 2001 I gave a speech in London with the title Italian Resources for Jewish Genealogy (21st International Conference on Jewish Genealogy, London, Inter-Continental Hotel, 8th - 13th July 2001). I wrote Les Juifs de Livourne: sources d'archives, for "Etsi. Revue de Généalogie et d'Histoire Séfarades", vol. 4, n° 13, juin 2001, pp. 8-13 reported in "Avotaynu. The International Review of Jewish Genealogy" (The Jews of Livorno, Italy: Archivial Sources) , vol. XVIII, n° 2, Summer 2002, p. 42.
The 17th of February 2002 I had another lecture, Fonti per la genealogia ebraica in Toscana, an almost complete inventory of the resources for Jewish genealogy in Tuscany.
I wrote the Info-file, a guide about researches for Jewishgen.org, one of the most important page and discussion group on Jewish genealogy:

In July 2004 I gave a speach (Italian Resources for Jewish Genealogy and Projects of Large Databases) at the 24th International Conference on Jewish Genealogy (Renaissance Jerusalem Hotel, Jerusalem 4-6 July, 2004).

2004 - 2006 I was contract researcher for the University of Venezia to research in Tuscan archives for resources on Jewish demography and Jewish Family History.
The 15th of August 2006 I gave a speach Nomen Omen: Names and Surnames of the Jews of Italy at the 26th International Conference on Jewish Genealogy (New York, Marriott Marquis Hotel, 13-18 August 2006.
I wrote Un censimento degli ebrei di Siena (a census of the Jews of Siena) on "Materia Giudaica", the main magazine on the History of the Italian Jews, XIV/1-2 (2009), pp. 485-492.
