Yefim KOGAN

Yefim Kogan was born in Kishinev, Moldova, USSR. He received Master of Science in Mathematics from Moscow Pedagogical University. He and his family emigrated from the Soviet Union in 1989. During last 20 years he did extensive genealogical and historical research and now he is a graduate student (class of 2012) at Hebrew College, Boston with the focus in Jewish Cultural History in Eastern Europe. He is active in Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Boston. Yefim conducted a serious session on Jewish Genealogy for the local Jewish community of Brookline and in Russian community of Boston. He developed a website for the JewishGen KehilaLinks town of Kaushany, Moldova, and is a coordinator and translator for Bessarabia Revision List project at JewishGen. In 2011, Yefim organized Bessarabia Special Interest Group, developed its website, and worked on multiple projects and as a SIG coordinator.
