There are some major obstacles we have to deal with, when we are trying to find living relatives in present day Hungary. The biggest ones are the privacy laws that prevent us gathering personal information on people still alive or who died recently. Also, with the Holocaust and later Communism, people were forced to abandon their ancestral homes – or they chose themselves to leave their homes. So how do we go around trying to find family members if we only have names and addresses from the 1920s and 1930s?

This presentation will give you some clues about it.
