This project concerns individuals who have Askenazi ancestry or surnames with proven or suspected Sephardi ancestry or surnames and vice versa. There is a special project organized by Family Tree DNA entitled Iberian Ashkenaz which is described at

http://www.familytreedna.com/public/IberianSurnamesofAshkenaz. The BOF is organized in order for interested participants from Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East and North Africa to become familiar with the project.
