The Sephardic experience is marked by uprooting and transplantation. Between 1940 and 1970, a whole population lost its universe. The ensuing years were years of reinsertion into new surroundings. After denial and nostalgia and long lasting silence the memory of this epic began to be assumed and told,. Telling the past does not go without raising questions about memory process.
