Mac user meeting
15
JULY
2012
The Mac [users] BOF offers support to genealogy researchers who use Macintosh computers, are considering purchasing one, or plan to transfer their genealogy research to a Macintosh. In addition, the BOF provides suggestions, help, and guidance in the use of other Apple products, like the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. The BOF provides opportunities for support concerning software for the Mac, resources for technology questions, opportunities to share questions and successes, and year-round networking.
A brief history: The Mac BOF met unofficially in Salt Lake City in 2007 as the result of a message I posted on the conference digest. Our first scheduled session met in 2008 in Chicago. Our second official meeting occurred in Philadelphia in 2009, our third, in L.A. in 2010, and our fourth, in Washington, DC. The first Mac computer labs took place in L.A.
