Jewish genealogy from someone else personal point of view can also be enriching to those who are researching for their roots. There are many ways to find our roots even if the Holocaust and the anti-Semitism in Eastern Europe have destroyed many traces. I wish to show how in a personal search we can use many existing means and find real founding elements of our personal family past. A trip to the places mentioned by parents or grandparents, cemeteries, old pictures found in old boxes, stories told, help of translators, local historians and archivists, and , last but not least Internet and JewishGen activities and Country groups (Rumanian-Sig). A new found past may be the final reward.
