The author wishes to present archival sources for genealogical research of the Jewish population in the Polish State Archives. He presents fonds in state archives, the types of archival sources and on the example of two fonds held in the State Archive in Rzeszów is trying to provide opportunities to find genealogical information. The author also presents the policy of the Headquarters of the State Archives in Warsaw concerning acquisition of the resources and the rules regarding access to archival materials in state archives.
