Identification, trauma, unconscious alliances, family secrets and family miths are some of the most important concepts that nowadays are studied in the psychoanalycal field to try to explain how the transmission through generations operates in the psychic life.
In this presentation I will explore these concepts, referring to the works of René Kaes, Haidée Fainberg and Ann Ancelin Schuetzenberger proposing also some personal examples that can help to relate them to jewish genealogy.
In particular I shall deal with the subject of family inherited names and their potential influence on the psychic life of individuals.
