The Jewish orphan Adèle is in the city to continue her studies at the University. But the police tells her that she doesn't have the right to reside in the city. She then chose the only way to legally stay: she enrolled as a prostitute. Arrested soon after and charged wrongly flight, it loses the head and died. Her fiancé cannot withstand this misfortune, at the grave of his beloved he collapses and is found dead of cold the next day.
" Where is the truth " according to which SLAVINSKI was shot by a Jewish producer of Riga; this pure melodrama tells the misfortunes of a young orphan in butte to Imperial legislation. Shot in natural settings, the film renders the Jewish Riga from before the great war. A now totally lost world.
The film will be presented and commented by Mr. Aleksandrs Feigmanis, historian and researcher, specialist of the history of families and communities of Latvia.
