Special Interest Group ("SIG") MemberA SIG associated with a fiscal sponsor or an organization organized for purposes other than profit and whose principal purpose is to promote genealogy shall be eligible for SIG Membership in the Association provided that: the SIG or the fiscal sponsor or organization with which it is associated has at least ten (10) dues-paying members; the SIG or the fiscal sponsor or organization with which it is associated has elected officers; and the SIG holds regular meetings at least quarterly, or conducts meaningful ongoing activities relating to Jewish genealogy at least four (4) times a year, or publishes a newsletter, journal or any electronic form of publication at least two (2) times a year, or convenes an electronic discussion group, or undertakes other significant Jewish genealogical research projects. Virtual MemberAny organization organized for purposes other than profit and whose principal purpose is to promote Jewish genealogy shall be eligible for Virtual Membership in the Association provided that it: holds meetings only online;does not have dues-paying members; andhas no elected officers. Associate MemberAssociate Members are other organizations (whether or not organized for profit) that do not qualify for any of the other classes of membership in this Section 1, including, but not limited to, genealogical societies, family associations, historical societies, libraries or archives, educational institutions, or genealogical vendors.
